It's that time again. Just wanted to get a reminder out about the book club meeting for May. We'll be reading The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis from the Chronicals of Narnia series. We decided that since we tried a "difficult" C.S. Lewis, we'd try something a little easier to read. I've never read anything from this series; I've only seen two of the movies.
The next meeting with be held at my house on Thursday, May 5th at 6:30 pm.

I just started reading Chronicles of Narnia this week and I really enjoying it. Can't wait for book club next week!
ReplyDeleteSo this week I finished The Lion, The With, and The Wardrobe. I loved this book. I cried while reading about Lucy and Susan as they walked with Aslan on his way to meet the White Witch. I couldn't help but think of our Savior as He suffered through Gethsemane and as He carried the cross through the streets. How must He have felt knowing what He had to do? He knew He could have walked away, yet He chose to do His Father's will and atone for our sins. How would it have been to walk with Him and comfort Him as He made His atoning sacrifice for us?
